Yoga & Kombucha Lab

After a 45-minute dynamic Yoga practice with Margherita, open to all levels, we will enjoy a refreshing kombucha tasting featuring a variety of flavours and styles. Laura will then guide you into the fascinating world of fermentation, a millennia-old practice that originated in China. You will learn about the origins of kombucha, how to brew & flavour it and prepare your own SCOBY (kombucha starter) to take home, together with a postcard that guides you through each step of caring for it.

After approximately 10 days, your SCOBY will be ready to brew kombucha. As long as you continue feeding it with sweetened tea, it will keep producing kombucha for a long time.

laura maggiore howald is a creative mind and photographer whose interests span photographic experimentation, film and fermentation. Among the many fermentation processes she has explored - including kefir, sourdough and yogurt making - kombucha brewing has become her favourite one. Since 2021, she has been exploring different flavours and using the magical process of kombucha fermentation as a way to reconnect with nature and its rhythms.

More recently, she has integrated the by-products of fermentation, such as SCOBY leather, into her artistic practice, bringing together creativity, sustainability and natural transformation.

No prior experience with kombucha or fermentation is required.

Tickets for this event are non-refundable. If you find that you cannot attend, we kindly ask that you inform us in advance so we can offer your spot to someone else. Although refunds are not available, we are glad to work with you on a solution, such as applying your ticket to a future event.
